Underground Coal Mine Safety Skill Set

UNIT INFORMATION

This unit of competency suits people that are working or seeking work in operational roles in underground coal mining. This typically applies to operational staff and contractors.
For students that are not employed, they must be seeking employment in a role that requires this competency. Students must seek access to a suitable workplace in order to complete a log book to achieve a successful outcome.

A Statement of Attendance will be issued on successful completion of the face to face training program.

On successful completion of a workplace log book students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for RIISS00033 Underground Coal Mine Safety Sill Set which includes the following units:

• RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace
• RIIERR203E Escape from hazardous situations unaided
• RIIERR205D Apply initial response first aid
• RIIERR302E Respond to local emergencies and incidents
• RIIGOV201E Comply with site work processes procedures
• RIIRIS201E Conduct local risk control
• RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
