RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue
Qualification Description
This qualification reflects the role of emergency response and rescue team members working in the resources and infrastructure industries, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a wide variety of contexts, which involve some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures.
Pre-course requirements
It is recommended that all participants hold a current RIISS00034 Surface Coal Mine Safety Skill set. If students do not have this prior to enrolment, please discuss this with AMAST and we can look into options for you.

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
HLTAID011 Provide first aid
HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid
Block 2
PUAFIR207 Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
PUAFIR210 Prevent injury
RIIERR201E Conduct fire team operations
Block 3
PUASAR024 Undertake road crash rescue
PUASAR022 Participate in a rescue operation
PMAWHS211 Prepare equipment for emergency response
Block 4
PUASAR032 Undertake vertical rescue
Block 5
PUAFIR306 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident
PUASAR025 – Undertake confined space rescue
RIIRIS301E – Apply risk management processes
RIIERR301E Respond to work site incidents
Upon successful completion of the training program, students will be awarded RII30719 Certificate III in Emergency Response & Rescue Qualification.
