Identify detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident

UNIT INFORMATION

This unit of competency suits people who are required to detect and identify contaminants at a hazardous materials incident using specialist equipment to identify the materials, assess the risk posed by the material identified and formulate a plan for their safe isolation and removal.

Students must provide a copy of PUAFIR207 Operate breathing apparatus open circuit as it is a pre-requisite for this unit.

On successful completion of the training program Students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for PUAFIR306 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident.
