Provide Pain Management

UNIT INFORMATION

This unit of competency suits people who are required to administer restricted analgesics as a part of a medically supervised first responder organisation. This includes the administration of restricted pain relief such as analgesics and aspirin, according to a medically endorsed protocol.

The unit is typically relevant for personnel from emergency services and/or volunteer organisations or organisations that provide a medically supervised first aid service.

Students must provide a copy of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid as it is a pre-requisite for this unit.

On successful completion of the training program students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for PUAEME008 Provide Pain Management.
