Supervise Work in Confined Spaces RIIWHS401E
Unit Information
This unit of competency suits people supervising others who must enter and work in confined spaces. This unit is appropriate for those working in supervisory or technical specialist roles.
Students should consider this training program to be one (1) week and two (2) days of study, research, training and assessment. Students must be prepared to be engaged with Australian Management and Safety Training and be willing to contribute their own time, effort and resources and be genuinely committed to working toward a satisfactory outcome.
While not a pre-requisite, it is recommended that students hold RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined space.
On successful completion of the training program students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for RIIWHS401E Supervise work in confined space (including RIIWHS202E Enter and work in confined spaces).

Program of study
Phase 1 Self-Paced Study
One (1) week prior to the student attending class where the student will study the learner resource and prepare to attend class. Students are expected to read and understand the theory delivered in the learner resource and be properly prepared to attend the face to face class training and assessment.
Students are issued with:
The Australian Management & Safety Training trainer and assessor will ask for evidence of this activity prior to commencing the face to face training days. The Student Study Schedule that is issued to the student has provision for the student to make a declaration to confirm they have read and understood the pre-reading material.
