Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation HLTAID009
Unit Information
People suited to this course will be working in a situation or preparing to work in a situation where they might provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
People suited to this course include people seeking the annual re-qualification assessment as required for licensing, set down by industry standards who may be required to provide CPR in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.
On successful completion of the training program students will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Program of study
For new students, students should consider this training program to be one (1) week and four (4) hours of study, research, training and assessment. Students must be prepared to be engaged with Australian Management and Safety Training and be willing to contribute their own time, effort and resources and be genuinely committed to working toward a satisfactory outcome.

Phase 1 Self-Paced Study
One (1) week prior to the student attending class where the student will study the text book and prepare to attend class. Students are expected to read and understand the theory delivered in the book and be properly prepared to attend the face to face class training and assessment.
The student must complete a series of assessment questions that are designed to confirm they have read and understood the pre-reading material. The AMAST trainer and assessor will assess the student's response.
